Hi, I’m Adrian Valdes, a freelance photographer who is passionate about creatively capturing personal expression. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Media and Communication Studies from Florida State University, during which I honed my craft as an editorial photographer for two student-run magazines: Diverse World Fashion (DWF) and Clutch. Over the course of five issues, I shot 18 shoots, adapting to different natural lighting conditions at outdoor locations and optimizing lighting equipment while working on studio portraits/indoor sets. My portfolio showcases eight of my favorite shoots, one of which highlights my work in Clutch’s Spring/Summer issue 37, which features the shoot “Florida Man” as its cover! Along with my editorial work, I directed the concept “Between-the-Lines” for DWF’s Spring/Summer issue 30. These experiences put me on a path to pursue freelance photography. One of my ongoing personal projects is the "Feel Good Friday" series, which captures the confidence that style brings out in individuals. Currently, I am expanding my professional experience with graduation and event photography.
